(But not during the battery of course!) Mac OSX better built to handle fragmentation, it can not really apply for Apple systems. 2nd Dim your screen â? Most notebooks have the option of having your laptop screen dark.  Some are even ways to change immediately and the CPU cooling performance.  cutting them at the lowest level you can tolerate in order to squeeze some extra battery juice. 3rd Reduce run programs especially in the background.  iTunes, Desktop Search, etc. All of these one to the CPU load and add chopped down battery life.  Turn off everything not essential when you are on the battery. 4th Cutting external devices â? USB devices (including the mouse) and WiFi drain your laptop battery.  Remove or closes it if it is not in use.  It goes without saying that charging other devices (eg iPod) with your laptop on battery power, when a secure way, which is quick to clear the charge on your laptop battery. 5th Add more RAM  In this way, has more memory for your laptop process, rather than relying on virtual memory Thana. Virtual memory results in a hard disk, and is much less energy efficient. Note that more RAM will consume more energy, so this is for most, if memory-intensive programs which actually require intensive use of virtual memory to run to do. 6th Runoff from a hard drive instead of CD / DVD – As power consumption such as hard drives, CD and DVD drives are worse.  Even with the drive can be power consuming.  They spin, taking power, even if they? Re is not actively used.  If possible, try to run on virtual drives with programs like Alcohol 120% rather than optical ones. 7th  Keep the battery contacts clean: Clean your battery metal contacts every couple of months with a cloth moistened with alcohol.  This includes the transfer of power from your battery more efficient. 8th Take care of your battery? Exercise the Battery.  Do you have a charged battery dormant for long periods of time.  Once charged, you should at least use the battery at least once every two three weeks ago. Also let a Li-on battery is completely discharged. (Disc Herring is only for older batteries with memory effects) 9 Hibernate not standby â? Although she is a laptop in standby mode saves some power and you can start where you left it, save it is not always as much theater as power hibernate function does. A hibernating a PC is actually Secure your PC as it is, and completely shuts down. 10th  Keep operating temperature down – Your laptop operates more efficiently if the radiator.  Clean the air vents with a cloth Outa or keyboard cleaner, or refer to some additional tips. 11th  customize and optimize your power options? Go to a? Power Options in your Windows Control Panel, and set it in such a way that optimizes the performance (take the A? Max battery for maximum effect) 12.  â not multitask? Do one at a time of your battery. A rather than working on a spreadsheet, Lettinga your e-mail client to Ina in the background and listening to your latest set of MP3’s, Set your mind on one thing.  If you can not drain only your batteries in the anything is possible! 13th Go easy on the PC to ask for one? The more you demand from your PC consume. Passive activities like email and word processing much less power than gaming or DVD playback.  If you have a single battery â? Choose your priorities wisely. 14 Get a more efficient laptop laptops are more and more efficient in nature always to the point where some manufacturers are talking about all day long batteries. A pickup a newer more efficient a laptop is to replace an aging, usually a quick fix. 15 Prevent the Memory Effect – If you have a very old laptop, you want to avoid the A? “memory effect” â? Keep the battery is fully charged and then fully discharged from healthy at least once every two three weeks ago. Exceptions to the rule are Li-Ion batteries (which most laptops have) which do not suffer from memory effect.
